The UK festival season is well and truly upon us and it’s the time of year to dust off you rucksack and cram it with those festival essentials. We’ve had a think about the top festival must haves for 2017. Check them out!
1. A Portable Charger
These days you haven’t been to a festival unless you’ve plastered it all over social media. Don’t run out of battery and be the only person actually watching an artist instead of filming it (Shock horror). Get yourself a portable charger.
TIP: Turn your phone onto airplane mode, whack off wifi and bluetooth and enjoy a prolonged battery!
The one predictable thing about the British weather is that it’s highly unpredictable. Don’t be that one person we all see online stuck in the festival mud! Take Wellies!
TIP: Roll down your wellies into boots to fit in with the edgey crowd on a warmer day 😉
3. Ear Plugs
The good thing about festivals is that there is loads of great music and people to enjoy it with. The problem with tents is that they offer very little sound insulation. Take earbuds and sleep like a baby!
4. A Water Bottle
Alcohol + Dancing = Dehydration + Hangover
Make sure you stay hydrated this festival season by taking your own water bottle with you.
DISCOUNT: water is a little tasteless, especially when warm. Use FESTIVAL on our online shop for 10% discount until August 1st… damn we’re good to you.
5. Milk Thistle
Here’s our little tip that you won’t be finding elsewhere. Milk Thistle helps the liver to do its job properly. Alcohol affects your liver… you see where we’re going with this one?! Taking Milk Thistle can help to alleviate the symptoms of ‘indulgence’.
6. Bum Bag / Fanny Pack
So there used to be a time when these things were strictly for holidaymakers over the age of 50. However, thanks to celebrity endorsement, these incredibly handy things are now fashionable festival must have… Winner!
TIP: Buy one with a secret compartment for cash!
The red lobster look has never quite been in fashion and unlike the bum bag, our guess is it’s never going to make it in either! Couple that with the lack of availability when you need it and the high price in the unlikely event that you find it and it all points to one thing —> You need to take it!
TIP: Get one of the fancy spray mist ones. They’re super easy to apply and quick!
Nobody likes queuing, especially when hungry. Remember to take some food with you so you’re not constantly off searching for your next meal. We recommend single portion bars as a great way to kick your hunger into touch!
TIP: Check out these HERO bars from our friends over at True Start for a carb, protein and caffeine hit all in one!
9. Wet Wipes
This is far too obvious but it made the cut because it’s a festival must!
Tip: If you’re going in a large group then get a large pack to share and save the space/weight in your luggage.
9. Bin bags!
“I beg your pardon” we hear you say! Bin bags are literally the best thing since sliced bread at a festival.
1. A bin bag!
2. A waterproof coat
3. A picnic blanket
4. A hole in the tent fixing sheet…
